We had a meet and greet rugby BBQ at Lindenwood park this past Saturday after the Cobber football team soundly defeated their enemy. Overall I believe we had about 30 ruggers show up to the feast with tons of hotdogs and hamburgers to go around (sorry Jeff no fun dogs). Here are some pics from the festivities.

Ruggers weren’t the only animals there.

Here are a couple of videos that go over some of the finer points to running and participating in a college rugby club. There are some good and valid points that can hopefully help now and in the future for the club.

What a year this will be. I can already smell victory. Today was the first practice of the year for the men’s and women’s Concordia Rugby teams, and what a turnout. There were about 20 new recruits on the men’s team, and I am guessing about 30 on the women’s. Overall, I would say 70 people showed up to practice, and both sides look very promising. Stay tuned for pics, vids and social gatherings as we start in on another season.

Here is the Final of the 2003 Rugby World Cup. This is a great way to see some high skilled rugby play in action. Please take a few minutes and watch the game.

If you do not know how and where of the positions of rugby this diagram should help. At practice if you are given one of these it is good to know where in proximity of play you should be. If you have questions, ask.
